A Medicare Advantage Plan is a type of Medicare health plan offered by an insurance company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Part A and Part B benefits. Medicare Advantage Plans include:
If you're enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, Medicare services are covered through the plan and aren't paid for under Original Medicare. Most Medicare Advantage Plans offer prescription drug coverage.
A Medicare supplement (Medigap) plan, offered by insurance companies, can help pay some of the health care costs that Original Medicare doesn't cover, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Having a Medicare Supplement plan allows you to choose ANY doctor who accepts Medicare, and it travels with you nationwide.
Some Medigap policies also offer coverage for services that Original Medicare doesn't cover, like medical care when you travel outside the U.S. If you have Original Medicare and you choose a Medigap policy, Medicare will pay its share of the Medicare-approved amount for covered health care costs, then your Medigap policy pays its share.
Medicare prescription drug coverage adds toyour Medicare health coverage. Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D) helps you pay for bothbrand-name and generic drugs. Medicare drug plans are offeredby insurance companies. Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (sometimes called “PDPs”) addprescription drug coverage to Original Medicare or Original Medicare with a Medicare Supplement plan.
You should shop your prescription drug plan ANNUALLY to get the best value. Even if your medications haven’t changed, the formulary for your current plan may have.

"Rick has always handled my health insurance needs since I turned 65. I am so glad he guided me in the right direction in a very confusing maze of options. He recommended plan F supplement. I got very ill about six months ago and required several hospital and rehab stays. The cost would have been astronomical but thanks to Rick's guidance my out of pocket expenses were zero. Thanks again Rick"
